On 01/31/2016 at 0204 hours, Ptl Sabatino observed a Honda commit multiple moving violations with equipment violations on Main Street. Upon stopping the vehicle, Shawn Hikichi, 34 of Spotswood was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested, transported to headquarters where he was processed and released with a pending municipal court date.

CRIME/INCIDENT: Possession of Paraphernalia
On 01/27/2016 at 1030 hours, Ptl Gallo observed a vehicle with multiple equipment violations on Old Stage Road, near Summerhill Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver, Jeffrey Marchesi, 19 of Parlin, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to headquarter where he was processed and released with a Spotswood Municipal Court date pending.

On 01/27/2016 at 0127 hours, Ptl Drude observed Saturn crash into a snow bank on Old Stage Road. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Kelly Gorman, 42 of Spotswood was intoxicated, She was arrested and transported to headquarters where she was processed. She was released with a pending Spotswood Municipal Court date.

CRIME/INCIDENT Possession of Marijuana/ Possession of Paraphernalia / Possession of Fireworks
On 01/26/2016 at 0612 hours, Ptl. Palmer observed a pickup truck run a red light at Old Stage Road and Summerhill Road. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver, Brian Shea, 21 of Old Bridge was found to be in possession of Marijuana, a grinder, a glass pipe, a marijuana cigarette and Fireworks. He was arrested and released with pending a court date.

CRIME/INCIDENT Possession of Marijuana
On 01/22/2016 at 1128 hours, Ptl Sabatino observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane on Main Street. Upon stopping it, the driver, Keith McGloun, 34 of Princeton was found to be in possession of Marijuana. He was arrested, transported to headquarters and released with Spotswood Municipal Court date pending.

CRIME/INCIDENT: Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purpose / Possession and Transportation of Gambling Device
On 01/21/2016 at 1322 hours, Ptl Gallo observed a Ford traveling 54 in a 30 mile per hour zone on Main Street. Upon Stopping the vehicle, the driver Alan Devivo of Bradley Beach was found to be in possession of a knife, a bat with a broken handle which was taped for grip and a coin operated slot machine. He was arrested, transported to headquarters and released with a court date pending.

CRIME/INCIDENT: Possession with Intent to Distribute / Possession with Intent to Distribute (School Zone) / Conspiracy to Commit Crime/ Possession of Heroin / Possession of Paraphernalia/ Tampering with Evidence
On 01/18/2016 at 1217 hours, Ptl Sabatino observed a Jeep failing to maintain it’s lane with the front seat passenger not wearing his seatbelt on Main Street. Ptl. Sabatino subsequently stopped the Jeep on Manalapan Road.
During the stop, Ptl. Sabatino observed the male passenger, Andrae Green, 36 of Old Bridge, attempting to shove a large amount of Heroin down the back of his pants. Ptl. Sabatino was able to recover heroin folds with the inscription “Red Scorpion” from Andrae Green. Green was subsequently placed under arrest. After being placed under arrest, heroin folds continued falling out of Green’s pants.
Additionally, 14 more folds of Heroin with “Red Scorpion” inscription were found on the floorboard of the driver, Ross Worden’s (24 of Monroe) seat. He was also arrested and found to be in possession of 10 open folds. During the investigation, a clear bottle containing Methadone was also found in the Jeep.
Green and Worden were then transported to Spotswood Headquarters. Further investigation revealed that Ross Wardon and Andrae Green conspired to sell the Heroin in the Spotswood/Helmetta area. The total count of the evidence seized was 166 folds of Heroin (Over 3 bricks), 10 open folds of Heroin and a clear bottle of Methadone.
Ross Wardon and Andrae Green are both charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession with Intent to Distribute (School Zone), Conspiracy to Commit Crime and Possession of Heroin/CDS. Wardon is also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia. Wardon was transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $50,000.00 bail. Green is also charged with Tampering with Evidence. Green was transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $200,000.00 bail.

CRIME INCIDENT: Public Nuisance, Disorderly Conduct
ON 01/17/2016 at approximately 2357 hours, police were dispatched a Main Street address for a report of a man creating a disturbance, banging on apartment doors. Upon arrival, Leonard Vaughn 58 of Spotswood was found to be highly intoxicated, drinking beer and creating a disturbance by yelling and screaming. Officers were also able to determine that he had approximately 0.25% BAC. He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and Public Nuisance with a Spotswood Court date pending.

CRIME/INCIDENT: COURT ARRESTS
On 01/14/2016 Three individuals were placed under arrest at Spotswood Municipal Court
Samantha Wise, 25 of Jackson, was arrested by Ptl. Nichols when she was attempted to enter a Spotswood Municipal Court session with “Suboxone” which was not prescribed to her and a knife with an assisted blade, disguised as a small handgun. She was arrested, processed and released with a new court date pending. She is charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
Leonard Vaughn, 58 of Spotswood, was arrested by Ptl. Nichols when he appeared to Spotswood Municipal Court highly intoxicated (Over .20% BAC) and began to create a scene. He was later released/transported to his home with a new Spotswood Municipal Court date pending. He was held in contempt of court and charged with Disorderly Conduct.
Christine Beres, 25 of Helmetta was arrested by Patrolman Gallo when she attempted to enter the courtroom with Lorazepam in a small clear plastic baggie without a prescription. She was processed and released with a new Spotswood Municipal Court date pending. She is charged with Possession of CDS.

CRIME/INCIDENT: Possession of Cocaine / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On 01/14/2016 at 1104 hours, Ptl. Fedak and Ptl Sabatino conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Mitsubishi on Main Street and Summerhill Road for an inspection sticker violation. During the stop, the driver, George Billey, 21 of Bridgewater was found to be in possession of 4 bags containing suspected Cocaine, 5 bags with Cocaine residue, cut straws with Cocaine residue and a marijuana smoking device. Billey was arrested and transported to Spotswood Headquarters. He was subsequently transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $7500.00 Bail.

Crime/Incident: DWI, Trespassing
On 01/07/2016 at 2250 hours, Sgt Schapley and Ptl. Drude responded to the area of Elm Street and Devoe Avenue for a report of an intoxicated male driver. While officers were in route, the male driver, Joseph Damore 44 of Edison, was alerted that the police were on their way. Prior to the officer’s arrival, Damore parked his car and fled on foot, into the back yard of an Elm Street residence. Upon the officer’s arrival, they were able to locate him in the yard of the Elm Street residence. Further investigation revealed that he was driving his vehicle while intoxicated. He was arrested, transported to headquarters and released with a pending court date. Damore is charged with Trespassing and DWI.

Crime/Incident: Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
On 01/06/2016 at 1603 hours, Ptl. Nichols and Ptl. Nemes were dispatched to a Brookwood Road address for a 911 Hang up call. Upon arrival, officers found Samantha Bonelli, 22 of Parlin, to be in possession of Marijuana. Further investigation revealed that she was in possession of the marijuana with the intent to distribute it. She was arrested, transported to headquarters and released with a pending court date.

Crime/ Incident: Obstruction of Justice / Trespassing
On 01/05/2016 at 2228 hours Ptl. Nichols and Nemes were attempting to locate Rickie Jerscheid, 31 of Spotswood, for an unrelated investigation. During the investigation, they received information that he was possibly trespassing in a boat located at the rear lot of the Clearwater Village Clubhouse. Upon arrival, officers found Rickie Jerscheid inside a tarp covered boat. The boat was located in a chained off lot at the side/rear of the clubhouse building. Jerscheid was subsequently placed under arrest. Desiree Ortiz, 31 of Spotswood, was arrested and charged with Obstruction of Justice after she provided officers with false, misleading information as to Jerscheid’s whereabouts during the investigation.

On 01/03/2016 at approximately 0117 hours, Ptl. Drude observed a Hyundai failing to maintain its lane and nearly colliding with his patrol vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, Ptl. Drude found the driver, Marco A. Cardoso, 43 of Sayreville, to be intoxicated. He was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed, and released pending a future court date.

Crime/Incident: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest
On 01/02/2016 at 1:11 A.M. Patrolman Parsons conducted a motor vehicle stop on Devoe Ave after observing a Toyota failing to maintain its lane. During the stop, Ptl. Parsons detected the odor of Marijuana emanating from the vehicle. After detecting the odor, Ptl . Parsons instructed the driver, Nichole Parkin, 29 of Denver, CO to exit the vehicle further investigation. Parkin refused to exit and instead reached into her center console. After refusing to comply with multiple orders to exit the car, it was determined that Parkin was to be placed under arrest.
Subsequently, Ptl. Parsons had to physically remove her from the vehicle as she actively resisted. Once out of the car Parkin continued to resist by tensing and pulling away. After being placed under arrest, she was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. She was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed, and released pending a future court date. Parkin is charged with Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Crime/Incident: Possession of C.D.S /Warrants
On 01/01/2016 at 2:44 A.M. Patrolman Parsons conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Summerhill Rd after observing a vehicle with an equipment violation. Further investigation revealed a passenger in the vehicle identified as Joseph Leaver, 36 of Spotswood, had active arrest warrants out of Newark and East Windsor. A search of his person was conducted incident to arrest, at which time Ptl. Parsons found Leaver to be unlawfully in possession of prescription narcotics. Leaver was transported to the Spotswood Police Department where he was processed and later lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in Lieu of $10,000 bail.
